PureNature Pest Control: The Beginning

Jake, our owner, started a pest removal business when he was just a teen. He didn’t know then that he was laying down the foundation for a career in pest control.

In college, he worked for pest control companies in the summer. In school, he studied fisheries, wildlife, ecology and range. He was able to study entomology as part of his degree, and it was his favorite of all the subjects. When he wasn’t in class, he worked for the local fish and game office collecting data on insects found in the diets of local fish populations. After graduating, he continued his education in pest management and operations through Purdue university.

After working in the industry and learning about the science of pest control, Jake saw that most companies were charging way too much to do the bare minimum.

He was determined to create a service that

  • was more thorough than any in the industry
  • utilized integrated pest management
  • was family and pet friendly
  • worth every penny

Why PureNature Pest?

Our name says it all. At the root of it, PureNature was started by a nature lover that thinks bugs are really stinkin’ cool, just not in the places we call home.
